Gressingham Foods is a family business and it shows
We are dedicated to the welfare of the poultry we rear, the wellbeing of our staff, and the satisfaction of our customers. The business was founded by Miriam and Maurice Buchanan in 1971. Back then, it was known as Green Label Foods, however, in 2006 we changed our name to Gressingham Foods after our best selling product, the Gressingham Duck.
Our mission has remained the same since the day the company was founded – to produce the best quality duck and speciality meat products. Today, directors William and Geoffrey Buchanan carry out most of the hands–on management of the business. We are the only company in the world licensed to produce the unique Gressingham breed, and although today the range of poultry and meat we provide has grown hugely, to many we remain 'the Gressingham Duck people'.

We have two main production facilities, one at Debach, a rural farm near Woodbridge in Suffolk that is also home to our headquarters, the other at Redgrave, South Norfolk, not far from Diss. We're rigorous about the health, safety and welfare of the animals we raise. You’ll find more information about our animal welfare and feeding policies on the farming pages of this site.
