Delicious duck comes from responsible farming and that’s why Gressingham works tirelessly to ensure the welfare of the poultry, the wellbeing of its staff and the satisfaction of its customers. Every stage of the rearing process, from breeding through to hatching is controlled, working with local farmers in the heart of East Anglia to produce its duck to the highest quality standards.
Eating Characteristics
Gressingham Ducks are air chilled and dry plucked with no added water, which guarantees a rich gamey flavour and less shrinkage on cooking. Gressingham Ducks also have a low fat content. A skinless duck fillet has less calories and less than half the fat of a skinless chicken fillet (a skinless duck fillet has 92kcal and 1.3g of fat per 100g compared to a skinless chicken fillet that has 120kcal and 3.2g of fat per 100g).
